College Events

A variety of events for the College and the community happen year round. Here are just a few.

  • O-Night
O-Night is a college-wide meeting where clubs set up booths with information for prospective members. It is held early during the fall semester.

  • Ag Roundup and Taste of Alabama Agriculture
Ag Round up is a colossal tailgate party featuring everything from fried soybeans and Alabama-grown kiwifruit to Cajun catfish and goat meat sausage. It is held annually on homecoming football Saturday. The Taste of Alabama Agriculture spotlights a bountiful array of both traditional and exotic food items that are either grown or processed in Alabama, including such items as  sweet potatoes, chicken, pork, beef, lamb, satsuma oranges, pecans, peanuts and more. The event also features entertainment, exhibits, children’s activities and auction.

  • Ag Industry Day
Ag Industry Day is a day-long celebration of agriculture and natural resource related careers at Auburn University and beyond. The event features displays from private vendors and university organizations highlighting career opportunities.  It is open to the entire campus and to high school groups.

  • Ag Week
An Ag Hill picnic, a barn dance and a blood drive are among the activities held during Ag Week each spring. Events usually include a speaker on agricultural career opportunities as part of the Auburn Agricultural Alumni Association's Contemporary Agriculture Program. Rounding out the week is AU Block & Bridle Club's annual showmanship competition.

  • Graduation Breakfast
Every semester on the morning of graduation, graduates and their families and friends are honored at this breakfast hosted by the AU Agricultural Alumni Association and sponsored by the Alabama Poultry and Egg Association.
