Agronomy
and Soils
students study the foundation of agriculture when applying
basic science courses to better understand crop production and the
environmental aspects of soil management.
Four
tracks in agronomy and soils are specialized for the student’s
interests. Those include Production Track, Business Track, Science
Track and Turfgrass Track.

Twenty
percent of graduates have left Auburn to work in the agriculture
and food sectors. Some graduates work with local, state and federal
government and others choose to further their education or work
in fields of business or law. Many graduates of agronomy and soils
work in the most prestigious golf courses and golf clubs in the
country. The average starting salary for graduates is between $28
to $30,000 a year.
