     C
oping with the diversity and complexity of today’s agriculture, graduates of Auburn’s Ag. Econ. department receive a strong training in the fields of business, agricultural science and biology. They learn how these principles influence the agriculture industry. Graduates are prepared for various careers in agribusiness and related fields.
     Students can choose the different tracks in Ag. Econ. to suit their interests. Those include, Agribusiness Management and Marketing, Farm Management a nd Natural Resources Management

Agricultural Business and Economics offers students a multitude of career
choices:
  · Loan officer
· Account executive
· Commodity buyer
· County agent
· Production supervisor

The average starting salary for a graduate is about $32,500. Most graduates go into agribusiness and finance and credit related careers while the rest go into farming, continue their education or go to work with a government agency.
