International Research, Training, and Education Programs

Faculty in the College of Agriculture have a variety of programs currently underway around the world.

The International Center for Aquaculture and Aquatic Environments has a long tradition of research, outreach, and education in nearly every developing country. New programs are beginng in collaboration with Ocean University of China.

Global Water Watch conducts training and outreach activities in Brazil and an array of other countries.

The West Africa Cotton project involves many Auburn faculty and seek to advance production and marketing techniques.

The Uganda FISH project is working to stimulate the aquaculture industry by helping farmers grow clariius fingerlings for the Lake Victoria baitfish industry and tilapia in ponds and cages for local markets.

The Aquaculture CRSP has supported a extended program of research and training conduced by faculty from several departments in a large number of countries, most recently Thailand, South Africa, and Honduras.

The Peanut CRSP continues to be been an important source of funding for research and training in the College.

New relationships are developing between CoA Poultry Science faculty and colleagues at the University of Bologna in Italy.

Other faculty currently have collaborations and research activities in Uganda, Norway, Mexico, and quite extensively in China. Several new initiatives involving faculty exchange and student training are underway with several institutions in Vietnam.

The College of Agriculture and its constitutent departments have a number of Academic Interchange Agreements that facilitate activities between AU and our collaborating institutions.
