Ag Heritage Park:  Red Barn

Dedication on November 3, 2006

Red Barn Dedication

We're very pleased that the new Red Barn is complete and it is already being put into service.  Several meetings and social functions have been held at this facility whose construction was made possible by generous donations from Mrs Catherine Lowder and Mr. Robert Lowder in memory of Mr. Edward L. Lowder.

Displays have been set up in the Red Barn to showcase a few of the antique farm tools donated in 1991 by Mr. James W. (Bill) Johnson of Albertville, AL.  Unfortunately, Mr. Johnson did not live long enough to see his gifts displayed in an appropriate setting, but our sincere appreciation is expressed to Mrs. Mary Johnson and her son, Jim.  Reecent Eagle Scout projects have resulted in the addition of rough cut timber walls which will provide a more suitable backdrop for showcasing these tools.
