Internal Agricultural and Experiment Station Funding

• Ag Discretionary Grants- small awards; requests can be made anytime; only CoAg faculty with approved Hatch or Multi-State Research projects are eligible.

Multi-State Travel Grants – requests can be made anytime; eligibility limited to Auburn faculty representatives on approved Multi-State Research projects.

• Ag Initiatives – encompasses the former Black Belt Aquaculture, Poultry Litter, and Human and Natural Resources initiatives; aimed at enhancing Alabama’s agricultural economy; persons with AAES or ACES appointments are eligible.  Full proposals due 9 August 2007.  Applications accepted without submission of “intent statement.”

AAES Grants formerly ‘Foundation’ Grants; aimed at increasing competitiveness for extramural funding; faculty in AAES Schools and Colleges are eligible.  New projects, initiating in FY08.

• AALGA competitive research grants are small “seed” grants awarded to teams made up of faculty representing Auburn Univ, Alabama A&M, and Tuskegee Univ.  Funded projects seek to identify and find solutions for the most critical Alabama agriculture-related problems.  http://www.aalga.org
