Directions for New CRIS projects

1. Go to CRIS forms homepage:

http://cwf.uvm.edu/cris/intro.htm

2. Under “Enter Forms” (left on screen), click on the words AAD-416 / 417”

3. Choose state (AL)

4. Mark small button labeled

AALA - Agricultural Experiment Sta, Auburn University@

and enter password Asunshine@

Click the Aproceed@ button.

5. Enter PI name

Click the Aproceed@ button.

6. Mark small button for appropriate project.

Most projects are Hatch formula funded projects, and this is the default.

Click the Aproceed@ button.

7. Complete boxes on the AD-416 form.

Much of this can be Acut and pasted@ from the proposal itself.

Click ACheck data@ as bottom of screen.

8. Review materials. If all is correct, click on the ASave Information@ at bottom of screen. Otherwise, follow instructions on screen.

9. Screen will appear with AReturn@ on top of screen. Your AD-416 form is complete.

Click on that AReturn@ button.

10. Mark small button for the next form, either the AD-417 or the CSREES Assurance Form.

11. AD-417 is for coding the project. Click on each Column heading for codes.

12. The CSREES-2008 form is only a checklist for animal, human, or hazardous materials use. All projects must complete this form.
