Director's Award for Research:

Guidelines for Nomination

The Director’s Award for Research has two categories: the Director’s Research Award for Junior Faculty, and
the Director’s Research Award for Senior Faculty.

All assistant professors are eligible for the Director’s Research Award for Junior Faculty, while all associate professors and professors are eligible for the Director’s Research Award for Senior Faculty.

 

The following information should be provided for each candidate who is nominated.

 

1. Letter of nomination from Department Head (Chair). Provide complete explanation of how candidate has excelled in responsibilities associated with research.

 

2. Summary of research activities, including specific achievements or accomplishments, graduate student instruction and advising, and programmatic development. This section is limited to three typed pages. 

 

3. A list of extramural grants and contracts including all competitive grants, industry support, commodity support, and other types of funding received to support the research.

 

4. A list of all publications highlighting refereed publications with high impact.

 

5. Patents, significant method or product development, and economic and social impact.

 

6. A list of major professional service activities such as panels, journal editors, professional societies, honors, recognitions, etc.
