Guidelines for College Logo Use

Pay close attention to the size of the logo and the background on which the logo is placed.

Size

• Do not rearrange or resize the two elements of the AU College of Agriculture logo. These are the college name and the leaf graphic.

• Do not alter the logo with animation or special effects.
• Use a high resolution logo image for printed material: 300 pixels per inch at final size.
• Use a low resolution logo image on Web sites, in PowerPoint presentations, and for other screen shows: 72 pixels/inch at final size.

• If you must resize a logo, maintain the quality and scale.

Backgrounds

• Whenever possible use the preferred full-color versions.
• Place the logo on a solid or non-busy background or area of interest; this is particularly important when using the logos with transparent backgrounds.
• Use the correct color logo to have the maximum contrast with the background for optimum readability.
• On dark backgrounds, choose the reversed-out white version.
• Make sure that all elements of the logo are the same color. Do not produce the logo in multiple colors (rainbow), tints, or screens of the same color.

Please refer to the AAES/ACES/COA Web Policies and Standards Guide for more information.
