"As easy as falling off a log"

back flip

No way Heath Haley and Daniel Fogg would be caught dead falling off a log, but backflipping off of one is a different story. Fisheries professor Carol Johnston captured the two forestry and wildlife sciences seniors' acrobatic splashes into the Sipsey River's pristine waters this summer while they were taking a break from helping Johnston conduct a fish biodiversity survey for the State of Alabama. Haley and Fogg deserve a 10 for their perfectly executed backflips. And Johnston gets high marks, too, for submitting this week's winning Picture This! photo. Incidentally, Johnston says she and her team found found 50 species of fish in the Tombigbee Drainage of the Sipsey.

Picture This! is the College of Ag's online feature that showcases photography by members of the Ag family. Thanks to all faculty, staff and students who've already sent in photos! KEEP THOSE PICTURES COMING! The photos don't have to be college- or Auburn- or agriculture-related, either; just great shots you'd like to share with the rest of us.

To submit a photo for Picture This!, e-mail it to AgComm@auburn.edu. Include your name, the date and location of the photo, person(s) in the photo and any other info you'd like folks to know about the photo. Look for a new Picture This! photo every other Wednesday.
