Deborah Solie, College of Agriculture’s student services coordinator, never expected rain to wash out her family’s visit to the Grand Canyon this summer. But the thunderstorm at the South Rim gave her the opportunity to snap this week’s Picture This! winner. Solie’s 10-day-long tour of the wild, wild West included stops at the Grand Canyon, Painted Desert and Petrified Forest in Arizona, California's Death Valley, Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada mountains and Reno, Nevada, where her dad—John Solie, professor of biosystems and agricultural engineering at Oklahoma State University—was attending the 2009 meeting of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers.
Summertime means vacations, so follow Solie's lead and share a great photo or two from your getaway. Just send them to agcomm@auburn.edu
Picture This! is the College of Ag's online feature that showcases photography by members of the Ag family. Thanks to all faculty, staff and students who've already sent in photos! KEEP THOSE PICTURES COMING! The photos don't have to be college- or Auburn- or agriculture-related, either; just great shots you'd like to share with the rest of us.
To submit a photo for Picture This!, e-mail it to AgComm@auburn.edu. Include your name, the date and location of the photo, person(s) in the photo and any other info you'd like folks to know about the photo. Look for a new Picture This! photo every other Wednesday.
