"Down a creek, with a paddle"

Saugahatchee Creek, January 2009

Chief editor, Office of Ag Communications and Marketing

Down a creek with a paddle

Katie Jackson was in the right place at the right time with the right equipment (a camera) to capture this tranquil scene on Saugahatchee Creek. Jackson, who heads up the College of Ag/AAES communications office, took the photo recently as she and fellow members of the Tallapoosa Watershed Project grant committee floated down the Saugahatchee for an up-close and personal look at the creek. Saugahatchee Creek is a tributary in the Tallapoosa watershed and is the primary focus of the TWP's research and outreach efforts. The project is sponsored by the Auburn University Water Resources Center. For more about the TWP, go to http://www.aces.edu/dept/fisheries/aww/twp/index.php.

Picture This! is the College of Ag's online feature that showcases photography by members of the Ag family. Thanks to all faculty, staff and students who've already sent in photos! KEEP THOSE PICTURES COMING! The photos don't have to be college- or Auburn- or agriculture-related, either; just great shots you'd like to share with the rest of us.

To submit a photo for Picture This!, e-mail it to AgComm@auburn.edu. Include your name, the date and location of the photo, person(s) in the photo and any other info you'd like folks to know about the photo. Look for a new Picture This! photo every other Wednesday.
