Picture This!"Ferris Wheel from Down Under"Mobile & Baldwin counties, Fall 2008 |
|||
Last fall, Michelle Worosz spent a week in Mobile and Baldwin counties, taking dozens of photos. She wound up with an interesting collection of shots, ranging from satsuma-laden trees at the Gulf Coast Research and Extension Center in Fairhope to new condo construction on Gulf Shores' beaches, from Bayou la Batre's working waterfront to sea oats and sand dunes, and from bird banding at Fort Morgan to Mobile's causeway. It was at The Wharf—a new mixed-use development situated on the south side of the Intracoastal Waterway on the Foley Beach Expressway—that Worosz captured this fantastic photo. The pictures are for students in the sociology of natural resources and the environment class she's teaching this semeter to use for posters they will present in May. The posters will recap students' semester-long projects focusing on specific environmental issues in Mobile or Baldwin County. |
