Policies and Procedures for the Request and Approval for Multi-State Travel Funds
Alabama Agricultural Experiment Station
Each year an allocation of federal multi-state project funds is available to AAES-funded faculty who have approved multi-state projects. These funds are to support faculty travel to regional meetings with other project members; they are not available to support travel for coordinating committees.
- Prior to travel, a faculty member with an AAES approved Multi-State project should submit a request form by hard copy or email to Dr. Kira Bowen for $750 to reimburse travel expenses.
- The faculty member must be the primary institutional (Auburn University) representative on the multi-state project as designated in the NIMSS system or the substitute for the primary representative.
- The faculty member will receive funding for only one regional meeting per project each fiscal year.
- Upon completion of the travel the faculty member should submit a completed travel voucher to the Ag Business Office to receive reimbursement for up to $750 for travel expenses. The voucher will then be submitted to Accounts Payable for further processing.
