Violation of this policy by any EMPLOYEE shall subject that person to disciplinary action, up to and including discharge. If an employee feels that he/she is being harassed by any other employee (including co-worker, supervisor, etc) because of race, sex, color, religion, national origin, age, disability or status as a covered veteran they should at once make this known to his/her immediate supervisor. The supervisor will promptly notify the University's Office of Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity, which will see that the matter is investigated, and that, where appropriate, disciplinary action is taken. If the employee does not feel the matter can be discussed with a supervisor, the employee should notify the Office of AA/EEO and arrange for a conference to discuss the complaint. Harassment of University Employees in connection with their work by non-employees may also be a violation of this policy. Any employee who becomes aware of any harassment of an employee by a non-employee should report such harassment to his/her supervisor or to the Office of AA/EEO, which is responsible for investigating all incidents. Appropriate action will be taken against non-employee violators of this policy.
