Responsibility and authority for the dissemination and implementation of this policy lies ultimately with the president of the University with assistance from the Affirmative Action Officer. Practically, the responsibility and authority to act affirmatively to provide equality of opportunity in education and employment lies with all who are in decision-making positions within the University, It is the intent of the University to commit appropriate resources and create a supportive atmosphere for the practical responsibility and authority to succeed.

The Affirmative Action/EEO Officer for Auburn University is responsible for the supervision of the University's Equal Employment Opportunity Program and for monitoring its effectiveness.
