The College of Agriculture has eight academic departments offering 11 undergraduate majors with 23 options as well as several multidisciplinary majors. Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology: The Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology focuses on social and economic fields of study through its teaching, research and extension.
Biosystems Engineering: Biosystems Engineering is the department that combines biology with engineering.
School of Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences: The School of Fisheries, Aquaculture, and Aquatic Sciences has one of the top aquaculture programs in the world.
Horticulture: Horticulture is proud of the teaching tradition, research and outreach programs within the department.
In addition, the college is affiliated with several initiatives and centers including the Auburn University Food Systems Institute, National Poultry Technology Center and Center for Bioenergy and Bioproducts.
