Remove the tick from its human host and kill it by placing it either in a freezer for 24-48 hours or in 70 percent rubbing alcohol. Place the dead tick(s) and a very slightly moistened piece of paper towel in a small container, such as a pharmacy prescription vial, or in a resealable plastic bag.
